AP2 LED Tail Lights
My reflector came off on the left light. I made a hole with a soldering iron then put some glue thru the hole. Messed with the light a bit until i got the reflector to sit in place. Its been ok fir half a year now lol
These recently just arrived at my house but I'm not sure how to wire it up. I test fitted them and they fit well but I have no idea what to do about these pigtail connectors since they don'tfit the OEM harness.
Guys,
Just started to install the lights, I am also having the issues with the turn signal, so I need to get connectors to swap the ground and power. However, I am running into an issue with the taillight and brake light. It seems that if I plug it in one way, the ring lights up as normal when lights are on. if I hit the brakes, the ring goes away, and no brake lights are on. If i switch the connector to go the other way into the oem socket, the brake lights (not the ring) are on when headlights are on, just very dim. If I step on the brake lights the lights gets much brighter.
anyone ran into this issue before?

This is the same issue with the turn signals. I also had to reverse the polarity of the pig tail connector.
The brake / parking light has 3 wires, black, red, and white. Ultimately, I had to splice the black with red and red with black, leaving white alone. This will be the proper connection for the pig tail connector into the OEM bulb socket. Hope this helps anyone who had this issue in the future.
For those looking to purchase these lights here is how you get them to work properly:
This was done to make work with my 2003 (AP1)
For the turn signals and brake lights- you can cut the cables and splice them properly or take apart the factory clips and move the pins to line up properly. I opted to keep all the factory connectors and avoided cutting cables in case the lights still didn’t work and I had to return the lights. FYI if you put back the factory lights you will need to undo the changes to the factory’s clips.
Turn signals- take apart the factory clip and invert the connectors. There is no way to invert the connector unless you move the actual pins.
Brake lights- take apart the factory clip. Make sure the black from the factory clip is on a pin that makes contact internally with the black cable from the taillight plug. Then, invert red and white (they do not go together). Red with white and white with red.
Reverse light- if it doesn’t work, just invert the plug (no need to mess with the factory clip).
Outer light- if it doesn’t work, same as reverse light, just invert (no need to mess with factory clip).
