Default Bolts for Mugen Header

So, end of last year, I picked up a Mugen exhaust manifold from a seller on the forum. It has since been JetHot coated and has been sleeping in my attic since last fall. Well, as spring approaches, I pulled it out and began looking at my installation options...

Except one problem... I'm not sure I have all the bolts... it seems like the count is off, but I can't be certain.

Can someone tell me if I have all the necessary bolts (besides the ones that are on the car with the stock header), or am I going to be scrambling to find bolts to get this to work.

Thanks in advance.

The bolts (I picked up a few extra things that I want to replace when I put the header on)

I think you are pretty close. The head flange nuts transfer over as do the cat converter bolts and nuts. On my Mugen header I bought a new stainless bolt with two stainless washers and two stainless nuts, and I double nutted the bolt through the header engine block flange, rather than use the oem pieces for it. It looks like you might need some additional heat shield bolts and washers. If it was my header Id use new stainless bolts and washers on the heat shield and put some antisieze on the bolt threads, the factory bolts are notorious for siezing up and can break upon future removal. I bought some mew stainless heatshield bolts and washers for my Mugen header but I've never used the heat shield as the header looks too nice to cover up .

That header looks awesome with the Jet coating, I wish mine would be that shiny, looks great.

Thanks for the quick response!!! Much appreciated

If I were to order all new bolts, how many and what size should I get? I wish they had provided me the instructions with the list of all the bolts and size when I got it from him.. I am in a small window of time between getting the car out of storage (we still have snow here), and Wake the Dragon so I don't want to end up on hold excessively while hunting for parts...

Thanks!

it's been a while since I did mine, one the bolt washers and nuts for the flange mounting point I just eyeballed it and went to the local fastener supply shop and got what I needed. I don't really know the exact size, you don't have to be exact just enough to get it secured. I didn't get any bolts with my Mugen header either. I can check on the heatshield bolts, but you can take the oem ones you have in the picture to a fastener shop and ask them to match them up with stainless equivalents. They are metric sized bolts. Mine had a broken heatshield bolt in it when I got the header (used) which I drilled out, those oem bolts sieze up and break easily on removal I prefer to use new stainless parts with anti-sieze on them.

Ah.. okie..thanks... I'll definitely look into this.. worst case scenario, I'll go no heatshield for now and then put it on later... it's probably a pain to get it on once the header is installed but if that's what it takes, so be it.

Thanks again for your help!!! Are you going to the Dragon this year?
