I do see an alarming amount of people on this board and other boards going catless.
I see your point, but compared to the total number of vehicles on the road. I would say less than 1% of people have intentionally removed their cat.

Regardless, I'm not going to make any judgment calls until I try it. I wanna just pick up a used one and see how it is compared to stock....sorta weight out the pros/cons.

This is not a free country. You have a few basic freedoms which are costless to others: the freedom of speech and peaceful assembly, the right to bear arms, protection from unreasonable search and seizure and the right to not be compelled to speak against oneself are the most important. Beyond those specific rights you are not free.

You shouldn't even speak anymore. It's not even about whether you're an environmentalist or not. You just sound beyond stupidity, and not getting the point.
He's just a troll.

still watching i still cant believe people are still arguing one way or another. its a personal choice, dont get in someone's face and tell them what to do. if you want to get a tp then get a tp. if you wanna keep your cat then keep your cat. its a free country dude you should be able to do as you please.

keep talking i'm still waiting for this thread to lock because of how ridiculous it is watching FTMFW! freedom FTMFW! gotta love america
A personal choice would be something that only really affects you. Piercing your tongue or getting a tattoo, for example. Polluting EVERYONE'S air is not a personal choice. That would be like me farting in your cereal or driving a tank into the side of your house and saying "pshh....personal choice, I like tanks in the side of houses."

The problem with that theory is that it's unfair. It's very easy for you to see the pros: "Oh, my car feels a little faster". The cons are that you're polluting air that you have no choice but to breath. It's unlikely that you're going to immediately see the cons. If you started coughing and choking the moment you turned your car on with a TP, for example, you'd see that as a con.

I think the problem is that people have no issue polluting something that isn't directly theirs at that point and time. You'd pour all kinds of shit down the drain, but wouldn't put even a drop of used oil in your glass of water. You'd spray toxic chemicals on your crops, but you wouldn't season your spaghetti with toxic waste from a dump. You'd put a TP on your car to drive around outside, but wouldn't pull it into your house and rev it up. Know why? Because if you did, you'd IMMEDIATELY see the cons.

The cons are in front of your face, you just refuse to see them. The environment is big, and does have a recovery rate. But if you depelete it at a rate faster than it can fix itself, in the end you're just F-ing yourself up.

This may be out of place at this point, but i removed my cat last week, and i can say that i love it, and have no regrets. Cheap easy and relatively affective mod to do.

well, check out this article. if we really wanna be picky, a cow fart is bad for the environment as well. sooo, to get myself right with the environment, since i too participate in the test pipe club, i will just eat more of these dangerous cows. i figure if i can eat at least a few burgers a week, i can get one of these ozone killas off the planet a month.

all of you do your part and eat cow!

Cows are a necessary part of human life on this planet. They are a living creature which happens to have evolved ( weather manipulated by man for his own reasons or not ), the same could be said about any animal methane is a naturally occurring thing in the digestive system of any animal. Driving your car without something that it came with stock to prevent the unnecessary pollution for a few horse power makes absolutely no logical sense. Justifying it with an "I don't care" is quite ignorant. Not to mention some members risk having their car impounded with an accompanying hefty fine. You cant forget the fact that you will likely have to deal with the CEL associated with many test pipes. Anyways I appreciate the other perspectives on the issue
