the following info was posted in another thread by user name STL:

"For people wondering about CR suspension vs. AP1 (based on a '03 model, but '02 should be basically the same, 00-01 a bit more off):

CR front springs +57% stiffer than 03 AP1
CR rear springs +14% stiffer than 03 AP1

CR front dampers, stiffer in both compression and rebound
CR rear dampers, stiffer in rebound and low speed comp, but very similar in high speed comp. (sorry no figures on these)

CR front sway (roll) bar +36% increase in stiffness (w/ 19% less wall thickness and i believe it's hollow)
CR rear sway (roll) bar -10% DECREASE in roll stiffness (seems they want to tame the tail end of the car, makes sense and will give even more 'feel' to the front sway bar doing more)"

just a thought, maybe the suspension has not fully set yet? or maybe it just needs to get broken in and it'll sit on the normal height maybe?

Ya ... that's another thought. Not sure, only had 500km on them now. so they could set a bit later ...

Ks320 does your car handle any better than when you just had your stock suspension?

Thanks guys, I'm probably not going to go with the CR setup. I currently have rsr ti2000 and koni yellow, so I guess its time to step up to coilovers.

Thanks!

Way better in my opinion.

The car has less tendency to dive when I brake hard, which used to annoy me a bit before with stock setup. Also, with the stiffer front sway bar, the car has less body roll and feels a bit more responsive.

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to put the CR-setup on track yet. So not sure how big of a diff it is on the track. But at least from spirited-mountain drives, I can say the difference is definitely noticeable and is an improvement.

Some may not like how the front is so much stiffer than the rear on the CR-setup, but I liked it personally, as roads in my country/city are quite rough sometimes. This bias doesn't make the car jump too much compared to aftermarket setups with over 8k in the rear, while being able to improve on overall performance. The ride quality is somewhere between aftermarket coilovers and base setup -- a bit closer to stock setup imo.
