Mine was a bit rough where the two pieces was glued together, everywhere else it was smooth.
Do you have a picture?

If it's just plastic particles I wouldn't worry to much, it's probably worth a few minutes smoothing it out with some abrasive paper though.

Some pieces look like sand. Tannish and translucent in color.

If this is abnormal and others did not have similar issues. I don't feel like I should have to spend time fixing this issue.

Especially for the amount paid and quality expectations from CT-engineering.

Did yours have similar issues?

I just checked mine again to make sure, inside is perfect. It was only on the outside I smoothed it out.
Sure try and get it replaced if that's less hassle for you.
You are probably going to meet more trouble when installing the air box though

Def appreciate you checking and providing input. I'll contact CT and see what they say. Will provide an update.

I guess I'll manage my expectations accordingly when prepping for install.

Did you buy from CT directly? Otherwise try contacting the vendor that sold it.
I have tried emailing CT before with some pretty basic questions but never got a response except an auto reply.

I purchased directly. Someone from CT got back to me yesterday evening. They are aware of the issue and are reaching out to their supplier to resolve the issue.

Will keep you posted.

I finally received replacement intake tubes, they are very smooth.

Def right about installation, not as easy as a short ram. I also have an ingalls ETD which is getting in the way. I'll have to spend more time trying to get everything to fit.

The bolt that secures the intake box to the fender, there's no nut on the other side to secure, did anyone else run into this issue?

Also, it seems like the box is sitting too high for hood prop and hood to close, anyone else run into this issue?
