Default Double diagonal roll bar with oem bulk head

I am doing research about roll bars and I realized that in some pictures oem bulk head is modified and for some its not,

I am wanting to get the double diagonal rockstar (same as harddog) with harness bar without optional bulk head, I want to use my oem one so I can put back most of my stock interior panels back on the car.

here are 2 pictures I will share and ask you if i have to modify my oem bulk head with double diagonal roll bar, seems like single bar ones are not modified

Yellow one looks like no modification on the oem bulk head

The red bulkhead pic above is mine.
The double diagonal from HD comes two ways:
1) New style 4 bend bar. No bulkhead notching required.
2) Old style U bend bar. Bulkhead notching required.

The new style (4 bend) bar is easier to install as you don't need to notch, but has some drawbacks:
1) Seat tilt is more restricted.
2) Hardtop catch levers will need modification.

Old style bar was my choice as I'm tall and needed max seat back and recline, and no mod to hardtop levers.

Remember, your spare will not fit without building a bracket and giving up a little trunk space as the rear bar is now in the way.

the rockstar bars do not need to notch the bulk head. when the customer wants to keep the bulkhead in, I install the bar in steps..

i place the bar over the bulkhead while it is still installed. i drill all holes that i can while its in.

next i remove the bar and the stock bulkhead. i place the bar back on the holes to line it up and throw a few screws in to hold it in place.. then drill the remaining holes..

again remove the roll bar and re install the bulk head.. bolt it back down. then bolt the bar back on top of it.

this way it is positioned so that you dont need to cut into the bulk head.

I do have a newer hard dog bar and I don't have to notch the bulkhead. I am able to fit my spare without any problems. It does hit the rear leg but just a little but I am still able to use all oem panels and screws to put it in

Can you post pictures of the rear interior panels, I would love to see how you trimmed it and how everything looks like

i've got the new hard dog roll bar with welded double diagonal and welded lower harness bar. clears the bulkhead no problem but does eliminate a couple inches of recline on the seat. i'm 6' tall and it's fine for me but if you are taller it might be annoying. i kept the center compartment with wind deflector with a little trimming but none of the rear panels. running a fully gutted trunk so not sure if the spare fits or not.

the interior isnt in the car as i mainly track it. i got lazy to put it in. i was talking about the trunk panel in the back. i only got the center console and secrect compartment into the car. i got lazy to trim anymore of it as the rear deck wont fit back in and that one is the main cover.
