alright everyone i am going too buy a exaughst system for my ap1 whats the best muffler out there i want the best shit once and for all whats the best perfomance muffler and what size piping should i use im not turbo but i plan too be so i was thinking maybe 3 inch piping let me know thanks

Seriously though, everything after the collector is a restriction. So go 3" for the piping and choose a straight through muffler with a 3" inlet. You'll also want a resonator, unless you want to attract cops and ricers with your raspy, loud-*** exhaust.

 

*Exhaust* spell check. how old are you? 3 inch is debatable. people say yea it works but the are people who say no it is crap. who cares? i heard magnaflows sound good. um why not buy a actual system like the 75mm hks? i would not build my own and sound like a rice. you just joined a higher order of hondas. do sink to the ricer civic/integra/crx, it is not worth it. im not saying there are not anyone who built a good sounding exhaust. im saying, you, with your lack of research, will. so word of advice, 1. spell check some of the most obvious words. 2. search, this forum has a ton of information. it helped me build my car just the way i like it. just saying, cruise around this forum in the racing forum or in the modification forum and you will start to unlock the information.

ah, i see. i used to do alot of that. no i have the iphone for that. 3 inches and u can get a test pipe with a resonator, be sure it is a porous one and not one with little scopes, that cause a drop in whp because of turbulence. again, magna flow make some good mufflers or borla. but most people will say it sounds ricer. but hey to he his own.

the best exhaust system? well i guess the T1R 70RT. it is a single outlet exhaust 70mm. there is a 75mm hks but no proof of dyno yet. dont get a rounded muffler it will sound loud and shitty.

3" has been proven to make power on stock internal K20/24's, H22's, B16/18's ect. The best part is that the power is made EVERYWHERE in the powerband. Like I said, everything after the collector is a restriction.

 

what do you mean by resonator ? currently i have an invidia 70mm test pipe is the resonator the silencer or ? i need help im a noob lol

 

ur a noobie. no worries, i was a big noobie once. a resonator is something like a small muffler in between two sections of pipe. like =(resonator)=====(muffler) . the resonator can be pat of a test pipe or after one. here is an example of a resonator part of a test pipe. notice the hump or swelled area http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Megan-Test-...s#ht_3112wt_903 . that resonator can be larger longer, but u get the idea. it helps keep the car quiet, like a muffler. but a muffler goes on the end of the exhaust.
