Thumbs up Hard Dog rollbar installation time?

Alright guys, how long does it take to completely install one of the Hard Dog rollbars in an AP-1? The instructions are 4 pages covering 80 insttallation steps! WOW! Is this a 1 day affair(4-6 hours) or a week-long venture(20+ hours)? Someone please give me an idea before I dig in.

Thanks,

Dan

give it at least 3-4 hours. its something you want to take your time with because you have to cut. mine took me 2.5 hours because my most of my panels were already removed.

Seriously? Removing the entire interior, seats, panels, trunk panels, spare, jacking the car, cutting the fenderwells, drilling, fitting and all of the re-assembly in 4 hours! No way. This is a completely stock car with all of the interior in place and you have seen it done in 4 hours? I guess I'm a slacker because there is no way I could do it in 8 hours or so all back together.

I just got off of the phone with Hard Dog and they advised me that when they just did 2 of them in-house, it was a day and a half project start to finish. 10-12 hours to get everything cut and trimmed and reassembled using all of the factory plastic trim pieces and original roll hoops.

Just thought I would throw that out for all to see.

I just did my Cusco / Safety 21 over the weekend. Total time, I'd say 1 man / 8 hours for mine.

How has your experience been with the bar? Is the interior all torn to pieces or does it look semi acceptable?

I'm about to order one.

It took my brother and I 6 hours to remove all the panels and put it in at my dad's shop. We didn't put any of the interior panels in. If you don't have a removable diagonal bar and want the oem seat belts makes sure u leave that in there before you bolt the roll bar in. We also ran into a few minor things that backed us up about 1 1/2-2 hours.

it varies with skill level, you can remove all the interior pieces in 2 hours easy if you done it before and know where to tackle.

Mounting the roll bar on my beater was very easy but just take some time to trim the carpet, trim and plastic panel to make it "oem-like"
