when i put the plugs on my bumper one side did not have the thread and i used double sided tape to hold the plug in
just pushed it in really hard and it looks flush

later when i took off my front bumper i noticed the thread had been pushed back i popped it back into place and the plugs sit good

Pull the bumper. The captured nut has popped off. I'ts probably just sitting on the beam or styrofoam pad.
You have to pull it offl. Takes about an hour roundtrip.

You can probably just glue the plug in if you don't want to buy the thread part. Either buy the threads online or go to your local Honda dealer.

The plugs will not fit unless the backing plate that is treaded is on the inside of the bumper. The tabs are too small for the holes in the bumper.

It is pretty easy fix. Just get the backing plate and it slides over two plastic tabs.

If you need me to get the part number let me know.

Can you post the part # for the backing thread? I'm missing one of them too. Thx.
