Default Help: Install ap1 Front Lip

So I've been searching the site for the past couple of hours looking for a DIY on a front lip instal... using 3M Double Sided Tape & only the 4 screws on the sides of the lip. I've seen posts where members have mentioned this, but I am having no luck finding a write up.

If anyone can help me with this, I'd appreciate it. Thank you

Hey man. What exactly are you needing help with on this? I did mine with the 4 screws and the 3M double sided tape. What I did was let it sit in the sun for a while so its more flexible, fit it on the car the best I could. You should be able to get it on the bumper without anything really holding it. Put the 4 screws into the sides in the inner fender wells. Then push the lip up where you would like it to determine where you want it. Then pull it down and put the tape all along the lip. Pull off the backing and pull the lip away from the bumper over the tape, when its where you want it, push with a decent amount of force onto the bumper. Let it sit there for a few hour before you drive it. Make shure its still snug on the bumper, push more on any spots that have gaps, and then your ready to roll!

Yes if you leave it in the sun for a while to heat up, the urethane gets more flexible and its easier to put on. Its all pretty strait forward. Here is a link to the exact 3M tape I used, yes its like a foam tape. I found it at my local autozone.

this might sound ghetto but i have mine zip tied on the bottom and the 4 bolts in the sides. i did leave it in the sun for the flexing. bolted the sides and then ran the zip ties thru the bottom of the lip and then through where the bumper bolts to the splash guard and pulled them taught. Snugged it right up to the bumper.
