Default Hood damper question

So I installed the NRG hood damper on my S. Everything went smoothly, but now I got one question. Does the hood not stay half open when you lift the hood up? When I lift my hood up, it goes all the way up and doesnt stay half open if I hold it half way. Is this normal? Is there any way to have it open half way only?

You should ask Sam (S2X), he is an expert on this. I think there might have been two versions of the NRG. One doing open wide and the other is half open to open wide. However a slight wind gust will blow it wide open or slam it shut.

i purchased the type that opens half way and it still opens all the way open. if there is no wind it stays half open but like the previous post, a gust of wind will put it all the way open.
