do the SOS ones rub the fender/wheel well like some of the other ones? I don't want to have paint worn off under the hood.

From the website, it looks like they are designed to NOT have any rubbing issues. But I don't know myself. Good question though.

My girl bought me the NRG ones for valentines day this year. Just put them on before I changed the oil. Love them!

If I were buying new I'd consider the SOS, I think the design is a little better (specifically the mounting brackets). That being said, I scored a deal on a mint set of used NRG.

I pulled my battery the other day (starting my audio install) and *wow* was it easier rooting around under the hood!

i got lucky and managed to get the PWJDM hood struts when i got my PWJDM intake. id recommend those, but those seem to be hard to find. i dont know if they make them anymore. +1 for the SOS kit though, its a great alternative!
