I'll have mine in on Wednesday, and probably going to get installed on the 27th. Very excited.

I hope you are installing them yourself. Takes about 10min.

I picked mine up from SOS on Friday, and installed them in about 10min or so later that night. Wrapped and packed very well. The units were very nice, and of a good quality. I liked the way the mounts/nuts/bolts were packaged. While installing them I really have to say that I liked the bracket that mounts to the hood. Being an engineer, I like when companies go the extra step with their design, and do something unique that imo, improves the product. The hood brackets fit perfectly, and it was nice they have a locating stud on them, that goes into the old bolt hole. They also fit nicely around the existing hood brackets, and lined up perfectly.

After installing them I thought, wow, how did I ever work on the engine without them. Cleaning the engine, and checking the oil has never been so easy. They open very wide, and allow easy access to everything under the hood. I had NRG's once, and these SOS are much nicer. Worth the extra price, plus I like helping out companies that design specific products just for our cars! There is nothing generic about the SOS struts.

We don't mean to come across as exaggerating anything. I am speaking from personal experience from another brand scratching my fenders before these were developed. This is actually my old car in this photo:

Maybe there was a revision for the set I have because they aren't even close to chipping the paint. You have me paranoid though so I'll be checking on them again tonight. The brackets that came with my NRG's have a piece on the back that rests against the hood bracket and prevents rotation.

I just installed mine, and I must admit they are much nicer than I expected. The pictures make them look like they will be in the way when doing valve adjustments, but they are actually LESS in the way than the hood prop when you use it to raise the hood extra high. Very nice!

I would probably be down for a GB if the price was decent.
