I am in the market for a new car, 04+ s2000 is on my list. I'm trying to keep whatever car I get pretty much stock, hate dealing with exhaust tickets from police. I was wondering first off, how much power can be added with a good tune of a/f and timing, and secondly, what product is best for achieving it? I've been a DSM guy for a while so I don't know much about honda tuning equipment. Thank you in advance for your input!

 

The engine is already in a pretty high state of tune for a 2litre producing the BHP it does, without F/I as far as I am aware there is very little to be had from tuning the N/A unit, the gains are minimal for high costs.

 

^ what he said. Its not easy making power with the s2k unless you boost it. An AFC and tune will probably cost over $200 and yield about the amount of power to a TP. The cheapest and fastest way to make a little more power is probably getting a Test Pipe for bout $50. It will probably add 5hp but you won't even notice it well expect for the dirty bumper

 

Well that is kinda good news haha. At least now I won't be tempted to mod it since gains are minimal anyways.

 

CAI, gears, thats the most bang for the buck.
