the s2000 is not the car for you. look elsewhere.
you need to do spend your money on a c5 or c6 corvette. If you can, the 2000 Z06 can be had for s2000 money. Cheap, cheerful power and torque. world beating handling. easy to work on- dead nuts easy to work on- easy to modify- takes to superchargers and nitrous with a much less propensity to grenade. stronger diff not made of glass- unless you're willing to sink many dollars on fixing the weak links in the driveline. finding a "cheap" s2000 will net you fixing other peoples problems at great expense and heart ache. Plus your domestic friends won't make fun of you for driving a honda.
The corvette, without a doubt, is the car you need. If you need top down thrills, the convertible 'vette is the way to go.

Funny enough, I've started looking at C6s. I'm going to test drive both though.
