Js Racing QC
So sad to hear this. I recently bought some J's racing body panels recently but, surprisingly it fit very well. Similar to the fitment quality of my previous voltex stuff. I say surprisingly, b/c a friend of mine had J's front fenders and the fitment before sending it to the body shop was horrible. I couldn't believe it.
I really want to get their FX-pro titanium dual 60RS, but after reading this thread I'm even more worried about pulling the trigger since I also have a 2006.

Don't worry, their titanium exhausts are great and as has been my experience the build is fantastic! the OP had a bad experience with his stainless 60RS but that's unlikely with the Ti version you intend to buy. You should definitely buy one from a reputable, authorized reseller and then I'm sure you'll get a genuine J's Racing exhaust which you'll enjoy infinitely! As for the '06 + thing - try to get one designed for that undercarriage if possible otherwise a few slight fitment mods can be made I'm sure. I've read a thread about that.
sometimes people get fakes even when buying from certain well known shops/retailers. Genuine is imperative.

I've read about the fitment issues with the 2006+ cars and how they required some work to make it fit. I actually even asked my contact if she could request J's racing build me a titanium version in 60mm diameter to avoid these issues, but she said they won't do it.

This honestly makes me lean towards just having custom shop fabricate a titanium exhaust for me with the specs I'm looking for. (I am supercharged and want to stick with 60mm diameter piping where possible). However, it would be nice to keep everything J's racing in my build. smh..
That would be really unfortunate if that's the case (e.g., receiving a fake part when buying from a shop/retailer).

As far as getting counterfeit parts from a legitimate vendor it's unfortunately not unheard of. If I remember correctly AJ Racing in Canada made a killing off of selling knock off J's Racing parts to people for years until someone figure out what they were doing. Do a search on these forums there were lots of thread on it back when it went down.
I’ve seen a few J’s titanium exhausts and a good few of the welds on each we’re not very impressive. Of course not as bad visually as what is in the OP, but that’s because they don’t MIG weld the titanium.
I purchased an Amuse and it was the only JDM titanium exhaust I have seen with great temperature control and purging of the welds. This is what will keep them from breaking long term. Of course their middle muffler perforated tubes are still only tac welded to the muffler body though :/
