I've read about the fitment issues with the 2006+ cars and how they required some work to make it fit. I actually even asked my contact if she could request J's racing build me a titanium version in 60mm diameter to avoid these issues, but she said they won't do it.

This honestly makes me lean towards just having custom shop fabricate a titanium exhaust for me with the specs I'm looking for. (I am supercharged and want to stick with 60mm diameter piping where possible). However, it would be nice to keep everything J's racing in my build. smh..
The worst thing is getting fake parts!

It's unfortunate that J's won't make a specific exhaust for your '06+ (I guess they really do prefer the AP1/2 up to '05 ) It could be because of the added R&D required to make one and it will most probably be once off just for you unless others request the same thing down the line.

Titanium is brilliant! The tone is distinct and weight savings are tangible. You definitely won't be disappointed. Why do you want a 60mm exhaust especially if your supercharged? 70mm would yield more power.

Wow what a kit! What boot spoiler is that? Is it impossible to maintain the third brake light with it?

Amuse is a great brand no doubt. Their exhausts cost more than J's and Spoon exhausts in most cases. I'd have loved to own an Amuse but the cost is so high. I'm really happy with my J's Racing FX70RS Titanium system and that was very expensive too. $2300 I believe is the current going rate. Amuse R1 Titan or R1000 which is similar is probably closer to $2800 or more.

That's the ASM trunk spoiler FRP or CFRP, there are fakes on the market now too.

Amuse prices have gone up a lot after the internal legal issues/court battle, ETA too. They are no longer a brand I would buy from, even though the exhausts are made at the same manufacturer, for them.

Can you expand upon this?

Mr. Matsui(guy with glasses and green jump suit) is no longer at the company, he is starting his own. Amuse, now called R1 Titan is run by a new owner. I inquired about the Amuse GT1 dry carbon hardtop last year and the titanium header recently. I was told by Bulletproof that the hardtop price and ETA would be very different and that I should just buy a MUGEN CFRP hardtop, which I did. I asked about the titanium header and got a ETA of 7 months and a price increase of about $1,400, this is Grey Market price too.

That really sucks man. So curious if anything is being done to fix this for you as a customer? What is the final outcome if you don't mind sharing with us? These exhaust aren't cheap and we pay a premium for what is supposed to be of high quality.

Correct! It's an ASM duckbill in Carbon and yes its authentic, but you could get a fake one I'm sure from like Ebay Unfortunately no you can't use the brake light wth this duckbill, but I don't mind it. Looks great and adds a nice touch to the car.

It seems like a lot of the Js exhausts are similar in quality now. I talked to a competent welder and he said it’s not the prettiest welds but it’ll still hold up fine. I’m considering to keep it but not sure.

I guess the quality just isn't there anymore. I'm sure it sounds great though! Pretty sure I will end up going titanium b/c of the information in this current thread. This is really pushing me to just have a local shop build me a custom titanium exhaust for the J's kit instead of ordering their titanium exhaust for the kit.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do man! As long as the welds hold up, you should be fine.
