Nobody has mentioned how it will affect handling. I would think it could screw up weight distribution.

Will I be able to notice the difference of stiffness between the stock shocks and these ones with the ajustment that they provide? Or is that stiffness will only come from a stiffer spring?

I know a coil over setup would be better but I m not tracking the car so I would probably set it only 1 time at a certain height and stiffness and just don t get the full potantial of these so it sounds to me like a waste of money, doesn t it?

not really i mean you are looking to spend around 600 for the shocks and decent springs cost around 280 so your at 880 now and you can get a new set of buddy club n+ coilovers for around 900+ So it would make sence to go coilovers.

BTW the konis at thier stiffest setting are not too much stiffer than stock (ps koni does not recomend to dd your car on the stiffest setting). You wont notice the difference in the shocks just springs.

The spring by themselves will screw up the handling... Look up the spring rates, way different than stock.

Man you already cough up good money for the koni's why not get ground control sleeves to go with it? it's the best retrofit coilover available. In my opinion

^ junk

do not listen. konis with fixed springs are way better than konis with a sleave type coilover. This is alos true for all shocks oem and aftermarket not just konis.

Thanks for all your advices guys. Since the main idea was not only to get 1/2 inch more drop but also to get a stiffer ride I think I ll keep the money, get some more and go for coil over. Like some of you said, the stiffness comes more from the springs than from the shocks by themself so I think I ll go this way. I m just a little disapointed, I thought Eibach was a really good replacement for oem springs and that they would make the car a little stiffer. I thought the spring rate was a bit higher than the stock ones. Anyways thanks for your help.

^ go with epelir asd springs they are good and noticeably stiffer than stock. See if you can find a used set for cheap and than sell your springs this way you wont loose money hopefully.
