They turned out perfet, couldn't even tell it was an overlay.
HOWEVER......
When I removed the tint last night, I def. had the cracks on my driver side headlight, across the top edge, only really visible from cetain angles, exactly like everyone else has suffered. These WILL crack your lights, or at least hairline fracture them from the inside.
I am not going to do anything, b/c I drive the car 80 miles everyday and the headlights are bound to get nicked and smacked with all manner of things, and you'd have to really be looking for this to see it, gonna grab some PlastX on my lunch break and shine them up the best I can and call it a day, She's still the cleanest 03 daily driver anyone round these parts has ever seen
impressive that the shop was able to install the taillights so well, they are VERY difficult given the fact that you have to conform a 2 dimensional piece of material to our tails w/ all the curves and sharp edges. My covers are starting to peel up at the edges after 3 days, and I'm guessing that's because they had to be stretched and manipulated so much to fit the taillights, I'm hoping they'll be ok because I otherwise like the look of them!
After having the Lamin-X on for a few days, i'm going to have to say that this sucks and i'm going to try to get my money back from them. There is no way that those 2 dimensional pieces of material can properly mould to our taillights given the curves and line angles present in them. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get them to fit properly w/out forming creases, etc. Just take a look at this pic and you'll quickly understand what I'm talking about:
I do love the look of the lightly tinted tails though---anyone have any suggestions how I should go about achieving that look w/out using crappy overlays like Lamin-X?
ps I did get the laminx for the headlights(clear) after i resurfaced them and they have helped them from getting foggy/hazed/ or any of that junk...i love it

Sorry you had to be the scapegoat .
ya me too! I've contacted Lamin-X and am trying to get my money back--I also told them I'd recommend taking the S2000 off their website as an application for the tint since it just doesn't fit right IMO
