From personal experience the car runs much better when its closed.... it just doesnt sound as cool.

i've had mine open for nearly.. 4-5month now. filter does get dirty lot faster and it seems to bog a lil. i just cant close it lovin the sound

I did this last year for a few months. That's why I decided to get the FIPK, to get rid of the noticeable bog.

Keep the airbox lid on. If you want better sound (gains are pretty negligible) get the FIPK or CAI. The Fujita is very popular down here and I'd definitely recommend it.

If you want sound get an exhaust.

And I didnt not need to cut anything to instal my snorkle besides the stock cooling plate cause I wanted to keep it on.
