Default May Change To Cold Air Intake

Hey guys...honestly looking for another project and pondering the whole intake thing....I've had my K&N FIPK for roughly two and a half years..no problems with it...but just thinking about the possibility of achieving more gains with a cold air intake (I'm gonna get a tune soon and my vafc2 is on the way)

my issue is this...my S2K is my daily driver and I don't want to risk hydrolock...I know the AEM would sit right by one of the fender liners.(so that pretty much gets rid of the AEM on my list)...so which one will work without risking hydrolock??

thanks in advance for any help

none really keep what you got. I like the Fujitsu F5 the best from the research I did on COI. I boughtr the K&N FIPK as you did now it's on my turbo.

fujita f5 + injen air filter shield ftmfw. and i dont know why people are really worried about hydrolock. the filter has to be submerged or been soaked for a WHILE for it to actually pull in water into the engine and lock.

I'm pretty sure it is more of a psychological thing. Where people are constantly paranoid when driving in the rain, even though there is a low chance of hydrolocking.

OP,

I would personally just keep the FIPK and save some money. Better yet, go take a girl out to dinner and a movie with the money you saved. But if you do get a CAI, I wouldn't worry much about hydrolocking, unless you would find yourself paranoid when driving in the rain. I posted a thread not to long ago about hydrolocking, many people said not to worry about so I THINK you will be fine.

You're not going to get any appreciable gains.

Though you should have bought the Fujita in the first place.

I agree with everyone else, save your money and stick with what you have.
