Yeah I actually tested that theory after that and as long as the transmission gears stay the same, it won't effect the relationship between each individual gear and it's rpm drop..

Regarding alignment, the most important thing for mileage is keeping toe minimized. This is *also* good for performance. Zero front toe, 0.2 degrees total (0.1 degrees per side) rear toe and you're good. Excessive rear toe is bad for everything, including making the car *more* twitchy/evil-handling, but unfortunately the AP1 and UK specs call for WAY too much of it. Camber up to negative 2 degrees or so isn't going to hurt mileage much if at all.
