has anybody had any success with lowing their vtec engangement? mine doesnt rip til 6000 -8000 rpm and i was just wondering if anyone had done it. i did this with my vtec controller in my civic

Do some searching, most tuning devices will allow you to adjust vtec. Lower isnt always better though, this car isnt like a civic. Its really hard to get power out of it and sometimes its just best to leave it alone, if you really MUST have more power the only way I would go with the CR is the AEM. I would not be cheap on such a brand new expensive car that already has 240hp in a N/A 4 cylinder. AEM will let you adjust fuel settings, timing, vtec, pretty much everything. With a good tuner you could see gains up to 15whp. So when you do the math, 1 grand for the AEM and a couple hundred more for installation and tuning. $1500 for about 15whp...? If thats something your interested in doing then go for it. Although if you ever plan on boosting you will need the aem.
