Default NSX rear calipers

I was reading the October 2009 issue of super street. Starting from page 62, features an s2000 owned by one of spoon's employee. In the article on page 66, it mentions how that s2000 uses nsx calipers in the rear with 323mm rotors. I was wondering if you guys know anything about this? Or what model nsx the calipers are from?

Here's a link to the article:

Hmmm...not sure how that would work for a street car. IIRC, the NSX uses a separate little caliper for the parking brake. So if you mounted the NSX main brake caliper, you would lose the parking brake. Modifying the hub to accept the NSX parking brake would be cost prohibitive.

With the Arrows kit, your rear rotors are now 0.9" LARGER in diameter than your OEM fronts. This is going to be a problem unless you already have some major front brake upgrades.

The only reason I could see in going to NSX rear calipers would be to add vented rotors to the rear of the car since they have a wider distance between the pads. There may even be some OEM diameter vented rotors that you could replace the rears with.

less heat build up in the rear=longer hub longevity.
Also a good idea for people with upgrade brakes in the front
