Default painting my 02 - how much for a decent paint job?

though the paint on my 02 is in pretty good shape, the hood and front fenders are showing their 95k miles with various damage from debris... also the front fender just got scrapped (again)...

how much do you think a decent sebring paint job for the entire car would run me?

thanks...

from all the posts around here I say anywhere in the range from 2000-4000.

Do you want the door jams, and that stuff done too? A complete job $3k+.

A taped off respray of just the panels and nothing else, $1500.

exactly what i wast thinking - just repainting the outside surfaces (no door jam, trunk jam or under the hood.

i could live with $1,500 to $2,000....

thanks for your input.

Figure $3000 if you want it to be an OEM-quality (or better, even) paint job.

If they're not changing the color, I see no reason to waste time on things like door jambs, so you could probably spend a bit less.

Key here is to find people who have had a good experience at a given shop. Or go to a shop and check out their work first hand.

Have them do 3 coats of clear over it with rub outs and sanding after getting the paint perfect.

Total bling.

estimate received: $3,500 to $3,800

they will handle remove all the panels, repair a few minor dings, sand and repaint with a few coats of clear... also will make slight adjustments to even out the rolled fenders.

seems within the ranges that you guys said...

looks like i will go ahead and do it... will post photos of the finished product in a few weeks.
