Default PWJDM Intake install help...

So yesterday I was off work and decided to go ahead and install my new kevlar intake. I followed all the instructions and all was going well. I left all the bolts loose on the ram air snorkel, and started to fit the bottom air filter chamber piece. there is only one way that pice will go in do to its design so I went ahead and bolted it in. After the piece was bolted in I proceeded to make final adjustments to the snorkel. Anyways long story short, I cannot close the hood, no matter what I did it wouldnt close. What am I doing wrong? Has the install been this big a pain for everyone? Help?

Let the hood down and then press with both hands. It should close. It will rub on the intake and scratch it.

My hood rubs the intake. It has not damaged it. Just don't slam the hood on it. I let the hood rest on it and then I push down to close it.

For 1000 bucks you think that fitment would be a little better, but maybe my expectations were too high =/

Well the piece thats having the problem is the lower filter chanber. There's only one way to mount that piece, the two bolts that bolt in where the factory intake were. Unless I'm missing something...

you have to adjust your hood latch.

its the same story when you try to install the Cooling plate. (any brand) some need adjustment some dont not all cars are the same.
