question, if money is no objection, will getting an aftermarket ECU with traction control be better than racelogic TC ?

leaning towards a motec setup with TC feature but unsure if a dedicated setup (racelogic traction control) will be better.

any any kind soul please advise?

AEM EMS has a traction control facility but I've been advised to steer well clear as it is very complicated to use and set up.
Using the RLTC means you can better diagnose issues with either system in isolation.

Turns out there is no blinking CEL with the Racelogic unit!

It was a separate issue with the injectors. When testing the RLTC out in the snow and ice, you can have the system totally active and not throw any codes.

Now that I changed out my injectors, no more CELs, even with donuts and the RLTC enabled.
Are you sure about this?
I just finished the install today of my RLTC. At first I had some probs, but after a quick calibration with the laptop, everything went well, and I'm happy with the result...
but I did get a CEL on one occasion... when I was REALLY making the TC work overtime.
It was literally cutting power constantly for 5-10 seconds.. making a really strange noise.. you know how it is .. like a rev-limiter at low revs. At which point the CEL started blinking .. then I regained traction and no more CEL.

It did not do it again later.. it seems to do it only when the RLTC is working mega-overtime for an extended period ...

by the way ... A VERY BIG THANK YOU to everyone who posted DIY pics / instructions re Racelogic installation. Its a very big help, and makes the installation relatively easy.

Now I am thinking of installing a switch on the clutch pedal to setup the full throttle shift

i got another CEL today as well while the racelogic was working ...
it was blinking for around 5 seconds ... should i be worrying?
or is it just the ECU warning me that the engine is misfiring? (so i can ignore it)?

strangely, it does not always do it ... only did it once in a whole 2 hours of spirited driving, trying (in vain) to throw it sideways in every corner
