Some cars actually do need some back pressure otherwise they will lose power (although you could probably fix it with a tune in most cases) however, the S isn't one of these cars. The less restrictive exhaust, the better.

no cars prefer backpressure.

none.

what cars enjoy is zero backpressure. the problem is that sometimes you cannot rid your car of backpressure without losing exhaust velocity. you want as much exhaust velocity as possible with as little backpressure as possible. sometimes (most of the time), you need to compromise. Thats when you hear that a car likes backpressure. thats just ignorance though.

and you will get more hp, maybe just 1 or 2 but your pft can go up around 10 if im not wrong

but with a tune you can get 3-4 hp just from a test pipe and up to 14 pft at high rpms
thats how it was for my friends evo and sti,
but i think it will be similar gains

but you can get a cel fix for around 30 bucks, or make your own (which is really really easy)

Is this a joke? If I even read the work "backpressure" I might go on a shooting rampage lol jp

Backpressure, is literally meaningless and unit-less. Exhaust velocity is the term you need to read up on. Although, the last place for exhaust velocity to increase is at the collector. So even this term is half way irrelevant, in relation to everything after the collector.

You don't want high exhaust velocity after the header. You just need good harmonics. The exhaust diameter, length, bends, and diameter changes all impact the harmonics (similar to the intake). This causes standing waves at certain RPMs that will cause peaks and valleys in your torque curve (just like an intake). Even a straight through perforated resonator will change the shape of the torque curve, especially in VTEC.
