Default S2000 DIY Exhaust Mod from Britain

Is anyone watching this exhaust mod thread that started up in Britain? It looks like it has real potential.

https://www.s2ki.com/...56-exhaust-mod/

Thinking about giving this a try, but would like to come up with a clean way to adjust volume or cut-off completely. Seems plausible that this could give one an exhaust system with a somewhat tunable volume level.

This could be the answer for those who are looking for a subtle sound level increase that could easily be reversed when it's time to sell. There are are a lot of creative problem solvers on this forum; what are good options for control\adjustability?

If you really wanted to try this, a good place for a bypass on the OEM muffler is between the loop and inlet pipe (circled in pic). That would shunt exhaust away from the muffler can directly to the tailpipe. Sound could be moderated by the diameter of the bypass tubing. It'd take a bit of machining to get a good mechanical fit prior to welding. Too much work IMO, a mid-pipe resonator removal is the best cheap exhaust mod.

That's exactly what they are doing.

I am looking for ideas of how to reliably regulate the flow through these bypasses so volume levels could be adjusted all the way back to stock if desired. I do not have the means to do the mod myself, so when I get this done I want to get it right the first time.

Looks like a prime opportunity for someone to develop a "kit" for those of us not willing to ante up $600 to $1,000 for a complete exhaust replacement that might disappoint anyway. To me it would be ideal to have a crisp exhaust for the mountain roads but switchable back to stock for those long interstate drives.

If your looking for just a little more sound, they put a 22mm(3/4" i.d.) pipe with no drone and not any louder in the car.
That's what got my attention was all the guys that have done this, they all say that it doesn't increase the drone inside the car.
