Swapping 01 ecu with 03...immobilizer?

Make sure you have the VIN to the donor ECU; I needed it when we reprogrammed the ECU for my key at the dealer.

I noticed better throttle response, gas milage & I believe (dont quote me) I read something about advanced timing & leaner fuel maps.

For the $ I spent, it was a good investment on my end.

So if I swapped my 01 ECU for an 03+ it would help with mileage, power, and response? Where can I get one and how much? This is interesting... Id love to see the dyno before and after! Could you send me a link to that please? Thanks

Check the forsale forums, some one usually is selling one for roughly 100 to 300 dollars. do a search for the dyno results they might have one posted.

Hmmm... debating this mod or just going with a VAFC. I'm interested in seeing some dynos.

i currently have a MY05, would it be possible to buy a MY06 ECU and have it flashed and it would be able to work on MY05?

+06 are drive by wire, to much of a hassle is you want to convert your car to drive by wire!
