Time to dye! (carpet dye diy)
I'm not sure if our black interiors are supposed to be "black" or more of a "dark grey", but mine was more of a dark grey. I want black. So here's what I did so far (sorry, no pics yet. Pretty self explanitory though):
1. Remove seats, door sills, trim around the back of door opening, plastic pedal stuff on driver side, net on passenger side, small trim pieces with the hooks behind the seats, and remove enough of the glovebox to pull carpet out.
2. Remove passenger side carpet and driver side carpet. You'll have at least 20 pins to pull out, so the pin remover tool was a great help.
3. Clean center carpet thoroughly. I feel like it would've made the job substantially harder to take the whole thing out, so I just took the back of it out from under the glovebox and taped off the front.
4. Clean the 2 carpet pieces removed previously VERY thoroughly. I used stuff called Bleche White and a garden hose. This in itself had the carpets looking newish. I let them dry overnight, and I'll start the dying process (with pics) when I get home today
