Question Track/Race S2000 Weight Reduction

Hello all,

FYI: This is my first post ever, so please let me know if this violates any policies/should be deleted.

What can I do to shed more weight? Haven't seen anything for a full on race weight reduction build yet.

Wanted to see what all the track/race/autocross s2000's are doing for losing weight. Here is my list for weight reduction on my s2000.
  • Fully gutted interior
  • AEM intake
  • Greddy single exit
  • header
  • test pipe
  • mugen hardtop
  • os giken diff
  • Hasport diff mounts
  • Hasport engine mounts
  • Sparco ADV TS seat for driver
  • Sparco Sprint for passenger
  • 5 point harnesses
  • removal of seatbelt
  • removal of windshield wiper fluid
  • AC delete
  • Shaved trunk
  • lightweight battery
  • lightweight flywheel
  • Complete Master ESM Spherical Bearing Kit
  • Enkei RPF1 for slicks
  • Enkei nto3 for street tire
  • Tein SR-C evasive spec
  • Spoon subframe collar kit
  • NRG quick release 3.0
  • Sparco 310 steering wheel
  • Real Voltex front bumper
  • Removable windows

What would you guys recommend on how to shave more weight? have not started looking into body panels yet. Here are some photos of the build.
Feel free to follow me on instagram to see the progress/results of the build. @boostedz4m

You know there's a whole sub-forum dedicated to Racing and Competition.

This topic would (and has) fit there nicely.

Headlights, unless you do night events.

Stock mirrors and their motors are heavy.

EVAP canister. EGR and air pump if your car has them.

Remove the soft top! Nice S, by the way.

Remove windows, door cards and gutten doors. You can also "gut" the inside part of your hood. It will be very 'flimsy' but helps.
