What are the advantages?
As most of you know my car is ticking. If I decide to rebuild the head. I was thinkin of going Ti Valvetrain. What exacly does it do? Inline Pro Springs and ret. along with Titanium Valves. Also, if it ends up being a cracked valve spring. Can I (or have a honda mechanic that I know) Change them out and new retainers without takin the head off?
If you want to change the valves, you will need to remove the head. The valves dont fir through the little hole that the top of the valve fits through. They come out the bottom.

/\ i knew that lol, i meant just if i only had to do springs and retainers. whats a good setup? Stock? with ap2 ret? What springs? I want quiet ones, not alot of chatter!
Oh sorry, I misubnderstood the question.
I am not sure about on a s2000, but i have seen it done on a toypta pickup. I am pretty into the scene here in Alaska offroading. At my buddys shop he actually made a special tool to do so. He is an insane welder and fabricator. You can only do the exhaust side with it though since there are more studs to use as a place to use to push against. Pretty much it is an o ring that fits over the retainer and then a bar that goes down under the studs on the exhaust side of the motor. it is then connected to a set of handles that work similarly to vice grips. This tool workls only for the exhaust side of a 22r and 22re toyota motor. There might be a way to do it, but it would be easier to just take the head off in my opinion. I recently rebuilt my motor and while i could have had the retainers changes with the head on, i decided to take the head off again and take it in to his shop. It may seem like it will take more time, but it is way easier and worth it since compressing the springs will be pretty tough, especially since they are new.
