What are these H-shaped gaitor things called, and can you buy these aftermarket?

Gated shifter plate. Yes, you can buy them aftermarket for other cars. However, I believe not for the s2k.

It's a gated shifter. The shift pattern is too tight for this on our car so it would end up being a big square instead if the cool gates which really kills the look. Also if you look under the shift boot the shifter in an S2000 is pretty fat at the base.

Thats impressive that as that picture is a Ferrari 360 Modena. Ah well, custom leather gaitor it is then.
