Default Ferrari Style shifter??

I've always loved the look of ferrari's shifter, and I was wondering if it would be possible to have something similar done on the s2k?

Maybe Rick or someone else could look into this?

nope. it's been asked before. do a search for "gated shifter" and you should see the thread(s). the stick is too thick. I think rick (of ricks2k.com) looked into it.

I've been all over Tim at mptuning about this same thing. Some say you would not be able to shift as quick. I really don't care. I want one too

ahh, I just searched for gated shifter and a few threads popped up. about the shifter being to wide... I would want a new shifter anyways (for it to look clean without a boot). If anyone is interested, post on here. Maybe we can stir up enough interest to encourage someone to make one.

Can't be done -- unless the shaft on the shifter is machined down from it's 1" or so thickness. Notice how thin the Ferrari shaft is.

thanks for replying so fast Rick... I knew that the width of the base of the shifter would be a problem, but I am sure with a replacement (maybe slightly shorter throw) shifter with the width similar to the ferrari's it can be done.
