cold air will always get more power, but the possibility of hydro lock is there. If you do go cold air, don't get the AEM, get the fujita since the filter is sitting straight out instead of angled up with a bend to trap water. Also get the intake wrapped if you don't mind how it looks and want better performance. It will eliminate some heat soak and try to keep it as cold air as possible

Sounds like your new. Do some searching. You will find that no intake will give you more than 2 or 3 whp. If you buy an intake just pay for the one you think is the prettiest. They do sound great but they do next to nothing in terms of performing. This isnt a civic. This car is extremely tuned from factory and not every modification possible will give you power. Some can even make you lose power. In my opinion stock is the best intake. Save that money for suspension or forced induction if your looking for power.

every bolt on that you don't have to get "tuned" has minimal gains.....its more of a bling/sound mod.

I personally like the K&N FIPK intake. It gives a good sound and it is not too expensive either. Like mentioned above though bolt ons dont really gain all that much power on the s2000 though. Take care.

I've been very happy with the Fujita. It is mostly a sound thing. Slightly better throttle response. Search the forum. Intakes have been discussed beyond death.
