Default Coolant Bleed - w/ Jenvey ITB's

I am a few weeks out from installing my Jenvey ITB's. I will be doing the install myself with the help of a friend. Im doing as much research as i possibily can.

My question is how would you bleed the coolant system with a manifold that doesnt have the bleeder valve on it? Also is it even needed to do so? I woudl assume yes b/c during the install the coolant port on the head will be wide open. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

That coolant port isn't all that necessary, but it does make it easier to get the air out. You will just have to spend more time "burping" the system after putting it back together. Basically, you just have to keep refilling the reservoir over several driving cycles, and periodically do some high RPM runs with the heater on and off.

There is a port on the firewall, above the valve cover that you will still be able to use to bleed the system. It will take a lot of time though.

like kial007 said.. there is a port close to the firewall.. it is the lines for the heater core.. use that to bleed..

Thanks. Ive been trying to get as much knowledge as possible so everything goes smoothly.

Few related questions. I have read all the ITB threads out there. One thing that i didn't see mentioned was the factory things like VAFC lines, air pump lines and the like that will no long be used. Obviously plugging coolant lines is easy. I just want to know how many? which ones? Anything i will need to do to the air pump?

Basically anything to watch out for that might not be so obvious when switching to itbs? Thanks in advance for all your help.

i just got a set of Kinsler ITB's a complete F22c with low miles. they do not have a port next to cylinder one. i also am having issues.

so the motor came without a thermostat. i've spoken to the previous owner and he told me that the thermostat has to be taken out or i will blow the water pump?

i've tried to put the thermostat back in place, because where i live we get cold winters and i cannot drive the car around because it wont get up to temp.

With the thermostat out. my temps while at idle sit around 180. then when cruising go sometimes as low as 120-140.

With the thermostat in place, while i am trying to bleed the system of air. the car overheats as the temps keep on rising. A massive amount of coolant flows out of the radiator and overflows the biggest funnel i could find. then it overheats.

i dont have enough time to bleed the system of air as it overheats in just a few minutes.

i have checked the Brand new thermostat i got, and its in 100% working order.
