Functionality is definitely there but I have to agree with the few who said that it wasn't happening look wise. It would definitely be a conversation starter! I voted 'too lop-sided' but if the gains are enough, I would forgo the look for the function!

I think what I really don't like about it is the round shape but not so much that the functional part is round but the entire thing is? If that makes sense? What if it could be function and the exterior shape more squared off so it didn't look as out of place.

I will say the more I look at it the less ugly it gets. Maybe it would look better in a matte black or something?

Maybe you could move the duct to the center and just angle your plate to deflect wind into it

I appreciate the concept, but I’m thinking at first glance people will think you have a big turbo under the hood with that big round drag racing scoop, and then be disappointed when you show them what it actually is But I will refrain judgment until I see the final product and data.

I'm sure it's very functional which I applaud and certainly appreciate, but as an everyday street car (for some of us), it might be a little too much (myself specifically). I don't like to draw more attention to my car, and like someone else said, it reminds me of the front facing turbos with velocity stacks facing forward. A good design, but perhaps a bit much for a daily driver. If you could somehow conceal the velocity stack or make it blend in w/ the grill I'd be very interested.

I'd love a good/reasonably priced intake that isn't too flashy. We all know the diligence you put into your projects so I'm interested..

If your gonna do something like that, why wouldn't you just cut out the faux brake duct and leave the velocity stack inside the bumper?

Nice...

This is what I used to run (4" velocity stack out the front bumper, pipe direct to the throttle body), we have done a bunch of tuning locally and the velocity stack coming out of the front bumper does show some great gains compared to something behind the bumper or in the bay.

I would be interested to see how you are running the piping from the velocity stack to the throttle body

We had something similar we made a while back, but ours was locate on the other side o the bumper opening. We had a stack with filter and the pipes would come up right to the manifold. Gains were decent, but of course with set ups like these it's best results are found while at speed.

I'm interested to see how you have run the piping as well. Will look for old pics of our set up.

Interested... nice. Not so worried about the look... I'm in the car, so I don't see it that often anyway.
But if you're going to change something I'd go with color and location to the middle.
