One big issue with r-comp is that most popular r-comp, NT01, R888, RA1 are quite a bit slower than Hoosier A6. so it is difficult to class them together. A6 should also never be driven to track.
I've ran with groups before who often do a point system for the different r-comps, booth hoosier and kumho 710s have always been assessed a bigger penalty or have been specially mentioned as illegal for those classes.

Yep and it's always been based on the manufacturer's treadwear number so no special gaming regs needed. An A6 or R6 is never classed the same as the "road worthy" R comps like the NT01 etc.

but since he said he and you enjoy beating up pp on more prepared s2ks, that's way too cocky!
I don't think it's very cocky at all. Now I know I'm not the fastest guy in the world, in fact I have no shame in saying folks like maxrev or you have been faster than me on equalivant tires but I do feel I hold my own. I've done 1:30s with re01rs at streets and recently had a couple of very quick laps at SMMR which I think I can confidently say is quicker than most s2ks drivers who come out with the same tires, bolt ons, silly suspension setups, and ridiculious big brake kits.

they will go faster on r comp for sure, but why make them use the money to buy r comp when only you (and maybe krazik) run r comp, they could use the money to attend Aaron's events
I think this is what most people are misunderstanding. Neither rylan or I are pushing r-comps because we have them. Both of us have more than enough tires and probably enough money to run any of the aformentioned classes. Prepping the car wouldn't be an issue for either of us.

We're simply speaking from experience of what happened before in the last s2k challenge series. There was a crazy amount of interest right at the begining and by the end of the 2nd and 3rd seasons the only classes with any kind of real competition left was mod.

There's always tons of interest at the begining from people who want to compete, but when the money and time commitments come down to it, you'll be surprised to see who is really left at the end of the season or who really ran 6 events. Speaking from experience people that invest a bit (like dedicated wheels and tires) to actually be competetive will more likely be there at the end of the season than the guy who runs his street car for kicks.

That is all,
Karim

I think that's the point being missed here. It is all for fun I have an armful of trophies from various SV challenge series' and it's all nothing but fun and bragging rights. Certainly didn't further my career any

seriously, things have changed since your age

NO NO NO, you get it ALL WRONG, wait until i update the list

not even counting pp that i donno, i have nearly 10 s2k friends track theri cars in stock form + street tires

go ahead and find me some unlimited modified s2k or stock s2k on r comp that came to SV events last year, you are basically making many other s2k owners follow your own stupid class! why don't you follow what pp do out there now?
I'm sure things have changed some, but it's not like you guys are doing something we haven't already done before either.

Your updated list makes it clear. If there are that many people who have stock cars on street tires that want to make a real try at it then I'll happily stfu. But I think you'll find most once they become halfway proficient at the track that they'll want into mod anyway leaving stock pretty barren of actual competition at the events. So why not just either get rid of it, or make it so that it's a class someone can still go a decent speed and not be pushed out for getting good tires since thats the single cheapest mod to go faster.

I still believe the best format is a base configuration and everything else should be points from there. You can have the base include r comps or not, that's symantecs. Since you can just as easily subtract points for street tires. Then guys can have a wing for example on an otherwise stock car and keep the street tires and still run in the "base" class.

It allows you the most flexibility in moding your car and likely the best racing.

I'll ignore the other BS. If you think I'm a wild driver you haven't paid much attention.

FWIW And I attended SV events last year in both my unlimited race car and bone stock street car on and off r-comps.
