I think they should. tire and brakes should be open. (within reason on tires).
It's reasonable.

divide classes based on who/what you see on track now!

create hassle rules for people to lose time and money!

Also I'm all for a points based system like nasa.

A,B,C and U

A is the base allowed config aka STOCK in current definitions
Then assign points to every mod and put caps on points for B and C
U is unlimited.
If that's true, then the most tire one could run and stay "in class" would be a 245 RA-1 or NT-555- everything else would have to remain bone damn stock. Just saying.

And weight has been increased to 2850lbs for AP1's.

Edit: Nevermind... was basing post on NASA rules.

I am one of those not very active on s2ki guys, but I autocross a lot with local clubs and would actually participate in something like this, it sound fun.

That said, I agree with point system more as it would allow a-stock ish guys like me to come and have a chance of being somewhat competitive in class.

With 3 class system, guys with nothing but gendron end up at the bottom of non stock class, and that's no fun. Nobody would take off the sway bar, but people could be flexible on tires. I thing gendron plus street tires or stock on nt01 should still be considered stock.

Just my 2c.

swaybar and tires should be open in stock/A class.
