That said, I think I would probably be okay with banning wings in the street class (I'm sure it'll take me a while to get used to it again ahaha and get my butt kicked by JJ and Amir on a regular basis!). I think it might even help attract some of the guys that ran in only some of the events this year. Correct me if i'm mistaken guys but when we had big turnouts in street class (8 to 10 competitors in some of the events) most of those cars were wingless...
Generally, you got to pick two of the following:

- wing
- coilovers
- square tires

All 3 was basically the spec street setup for the last 2 years, so do we plan to go back to rules that enforce the pick 2 of 3 scenario? I think this would make street class back into a street class and show more varied setups.

I think the reasoning was most people who show up are already somewhat modded from a few years ago if I remember right. Which is why we devalued the shocks and increased the points to allow the flexibility.

I'm pretty sure its hard to leave your car with a wing and lowering springs on stock shocks for a whole year (looks gay - yeah, I said it) while campaigning the car competitively.

Which is okay. Pick two of the three. It's a street car - not a mod class car on stock shocks (stupid) If you're running the wing you should be in mod with the other winged guys competing. I get that everyone wants to win but part of this is so we constantly better ourselves and our setups, right?

I recall a certain wing/stock shocks/square NT01 car being competitive.

^lol

Ameer doesnt even have an s2k! Fool sold it so he can get another one and do the same thing over again.

Marc, now your just sandbagging. I dont know who will be in what class next year but there are a lot of guys getting fast or are fast. I bet if we had a spec car to use, there are about 10+ guys who could run within a second of each other.

I've been considering re-joining the wingless crowd with my non-stagger OEM setup and running at Streets a bit more to work on my driving. However, someone threw a 'wrench' into my plans... I've no input at the moment since i've been pretty inactive and uncompetitive this season in street.
You still show up, and consistently post with data to back up your claims. I think everyone would agree that your opinion and input is valuable, regardless of how much or how little you drove this year.

Thanks, Mike.

I'll chime in with some input based on what I've seen so far - just gotta take care of some other more pressing matters. I'll probably PM you about that later tonight or tomorrow.

Just a quick question, why is a vented hood worth any points? what benefit does it offer in terms of lap time etc?
