Round 9 at Chuckwalla (CW) was one of the closest battles we have had all year, it felt like Vegas all over again! We had a total of 9 sign ups, but 15 S2000s showed up in support!
Street class had a total of 2 participants, and in second place we have local Michael Guyette defending his home turf with a very brisk 2:07.76, and in first place we have S2K challenge street class king Ryan LaFontaine with a blazing fast 2:05.96! nice driving street class!
In Mod class we had a total of 7 participants, with a very close spread! In 7th place we had Albert Castro with a 2:06.95, in 6th place we have the race suit wielding Angela Konno, who took Albert by a mere 1/10 of a second! She managed a 2:06.81, in 5th place Jacob Mitchel was able to put in a respectable 2:04.315, and only is second time ever at the track. 4th place is occupied by Randy Chen, whose gorgeous Voltex kit S2000 put down a 2:02.781, in 3rd we have 2017 Mod Class Champion Ryan Delgrosso, with a 2:02.397, and in 2nd we have Joseph Jafry, with a 2:02.158, and in 1st place Kevin Burke who was able to wring out a clean 2:01.384 lap in session 2!
