How come RT didn't know how to do this... I'm actually selling one of these cables cause they could never help me to get it set up and I just totally gave up!!! I really am not happy with them... The products work but everything is ass backwards and the support is terrible!

Support is tough thing to do when you cross manufactures products. Each manufacture stops on their own product. But it takes some understanding of how they interface to get things to work across product lines.

I think the problem here is that it requires AEM EMS to talk to the RT ECU cable. That gap is what is missing and not documented at all. I only stubbled on this via a post in the forum that had a screen capture of data that I found in the AEM EMS.

I think RT assumes that we know the EMS. but I do agree, their support needs some help.

Oh, I documented how to do this, and sent it to RT. So maybe the next guy will get better help doing this.

Yeah I can understand when your trying to make your product work with so many applications but really is all comes down to documentation. Too bad I sold my EMS... Now I have to pick one up so I can log all that good stuff!

I am not sure how much value having the ECU cable. It does simplify the wiring. But there is nothing that you can't get by taping into the existing harnesses. As best I could tell, the ADCR8-18 are useless to me. I may figure out some way to use them in the future, but at this point they add no value.

But with this one connection (ECU Serial cable) I get the following without tapping the harness.
  • TPS
  • RPM
  • MAP
  • Air Temp
  • Coolant Temp
  • O2
