yes erik I ran for ~2 years w/ constant cel because of lack of o2/smog stuff. No change in performance.

Blinking CEL is what you need to worry about.

Sweet, thanks. What about running without the instrument panel?

Does the blinking CEL indicate only THE problems with catastrophic implications?

Blinking CEL only indicates the engine is misfiring bad enough to damage the convertor.

There is still a "limp home" or backup mode the PCM will default to if a CKP/TDC sensor input is lost, or a problem with the VTEC system is found. Expect a 3K rpm rev limit if you loose a CKP/TDC signal and no VTEC joy 95-6K rev limit) when it's trouble code is stored.

So long as it doesn't dial back due to emissions related faults. What about the instrument panel? Will it run fine without?

I'll disconnect mine when I take the car to tonys and drive it around and let you know.

Let me check the ETM. Some cars won't charge the battery with the cluster removed.

Tell me what the inputs and outputs are and I can design you a circuit board.

I would think you only need a resistor. I know some Audi/VW shop sells a resistor in their kit with the plate to block off where the air is pumped into the head.

A resistor is not going to duplicate the same current use as a Electric motor, or change 02 sensor inputs..
