Default break-in oil for track event

I did a search and did not find what i was looking for.

My S now has 1500 miles and it will see the track (road-course) for the first time in about 2 weeks (I am not new to track events. I am new with the S only. I've done auto-x and track the ITR for few years now).

Question is - Should I track it with the original "break-in" oil and drive it till 7500 miles for the 1st oil change as recommended by the manufacter or should I change it out with Mobil 1 Syn. for this track event?

Thanks.

I would track with the original oil. I did 3.5 track days for 370 track miles (all at SOW, so hard on engine) on original oil before changing it at 2603 miles, using Castrol GTX 10-30. Then changed again at 4958 after another 635 track miles, and again at 6443 after another 290 track miles, both with GTX 10-30, then switched to synthetic at 7900 miles after another 225 track miles. Used Redline 10-30 only since. My engine has been solid, now 23000+ miles and over 5,000 track miles.

(made significant corrections to earlier post; got confused with tranny fluid change)

i got the same problem, i have 1000 miles and i wanna go to a road course
so you guys think its ok to race with the break-in oil and then change it at around 3500 miles, im really paranoid, the car is 2 weeks old and im already going to beat the shit out of it

Of course, this begs the question - are you a novice tracker or experienced? If you're just starting out you won't be as hard as you may think on the car since you won't be going that fast. That assumes, of course, that you don't just flog the car for the sake of flogging...

i am definitely NOT a novice tracker, thats why i'm wondering if it could be to hard on the car with that little miles on it ?

My car had just turned 1,000 miles when I arrived at the track (SOW), then it was redlined all day for like 6-7 sessions between me and a professionsl driving instructor. No problem (yet).
