Default Carbotechs in the rain

It's calling for rain (and cooler weather) at tomorrows track day. I usually run XP10/XP8 but have never run in the wet. Will I be able to get them into their operating temp or am I better off with stock pads? Tires are Direzza Z1

You will have no problem getting in their operating temps. You are better off running the Carbotecs.

I don't have experience with Carbotechs on the S2000, but I've used them on my M3 (XP10 & XP8) and they performed just fine in the wet. You won't have any issues as they are one of the better cooler temp performing track pads.

No issues, we run through streams/rivers, etc, and they're still there on the very first stop straight after.

Torrential downpour with XP20s and still work great. They probably lose a little bite, but appropriate for the reduced grip of the tyres.

Thanks guys, the advice was bang on. The pads performed fine in the wet, unfortunately the rest of the car felt terrible, no overall grip and tons of oversteer. Scary...

To be honest, I would have welcomed some understeer. I was on the verge of spinning from entry to exit and I had to wait forever to put the power down.
