I have Schroth 6 point for driver and 4 point ASM for passenger, tried both with hans, the 4 point will fit hans but doesn't really hold it tight, so if you are planning on going with hans soon, get the 5 or 6 point system. Doesn't have to be 2" hans harness, 3" works good for me.

So do you guys not recommend the Schroth ASM harness? A 4 point for now would be nice since I probably won't hit the tracks until I get a better roll bar and Schroth says that I can buy the sub straps separately to make it a 6 point later on.
They get the harness when you hit tracks, racing harness is REALLY not good for street. I had 4 point harness before when I daily my car, takes forever to buckle the harness, and you can't move around in car, I can't really reach my radio unless unlock the harness, navi? lol don't even think about it. It will be really hard to put them back together again while you driving. Just use stock seat belt they are good enough.

i don't know how the Schroth ASM 4 point is suppose to work with HANS. one of the shoulder harness is design to brake away so that your shoulder can lean forward and rotate and not get submarine, like the oem 3-point harness.

Do you really want to get the cheapest safety equipment you can get?

All the ones mentioned above are good belts. If I was going to street drive the car I would use the 3" shoulder belts as they will offer more protection than the 2" Hans shoulder belts. (surface area against the body) I've had the all but the Sabelts. The Schroth's I think have a much better quality than the Willians. If you look at the ways they can be pulled they are quite nice.

And - Yes we can get Schroth's or Sabelts for you. (:

I have owned Willians and they seem fine (a bit more expensive than many others). They are also the most commonly used belt in F1. What don't you like about them?

My only complaint is that they are pretty stiff, not nearly as supple as Shroth. I had 100+ track days on a set of Willians and they were just starting to soften up a bit.

Thanks guys! I don't really mind the inconvenience of wearing a harness on the street. I'll be looking to buy a set Schroth. They were the first to catch my eye and it seems that they have a good reputation.
