so take them all out and add a little antiseize grease and I am ready to roll?
That's what I do. If you feel more comfortable with the shields, keep them installed. Really it makes very little difference.

What is the point of running anti-seize?

Voodoo

Anti-seize just makes the pads rattle less. I have so many other noises- gear whine, loud exhaust, gutted interior, fuel pump, miscellaneous engine related sounds that brake rattle adds very little to the overall cacophony.

Okay, just checking. I run without any shims on the street or track.

For those that want the info on the GTS vs. XR5 pads in the rear. Here is the difference.

I called up Glenn at Cobalt just now. Had him give me the run down on the XR5s compared to the GTS in back. They said the XR5 and GTS are very very close except that the xr5 has slightly more tq: 150-200 ft lbs more initial bite. They said for those using XR2, the XR5 rear, tends to match it best. the GTS is used often too, but varies by car and the driver.

Welcome!
Feel free to give me a call or PM/email on info for their product. We usually have most the honda applications on the shelf, and if not, Cobalt has been excelent about getting us pads quickly, even if THEY dont have them in stock.

Going to have them make some front pads for my J's 6pots now!

My Cobalt start making funny noise. It's sound like they moving in the caliper both front and rear (clack clack clack). The noise only happen once when I move the car after parking for a long time. Once in the morning when I go to work and once in the afternoon when going home. I did not put shim on when install the pad. I just gonna wait til last auto-x of the season before switch back to stock pads.

Is that normal? any advice?

Would those be any good for a 24h race application ?! ( I know they dont last 24h )
I mean endurance races in general, or are those too aggressive?!
