Default A couple videos from the last AX

On-board (cold, slippery course):

Course side (warmer, stickier course):

The course was real slippery in the morning, but got better in the afternoon. I really got to see the potential of this 255 square setup.
I can't wait to see how it does on a grippy surface!

BTW, car is stock. Just has UK alignment and 17x9s w/ 255 Ecsta XSs.

They are on a budget...no course workers required.

Just a suggestion - a clutch dump will knock significant time off. With the cold temps you may well have to modulate tire spin but the goal is to get and keep the engine in VTEC. It's worth it and can be proven by trying both methods, comparing where you need to shift - a good start can surprise you by how much faster you reach the first turn or shift/braking point...

You can see them in the 1st video. No corner workers during the fun runs.

I agree, but we were sitting in a pile of marbles.
I've been practicing launching on my fairly long driveway. The CDV makes it tricky. Seems 2500-3000 RPM with a quick release of the clutch and WOT produces the best launch... anything more and it's tire spin or the burnt fish smell I would just remove the damn thing if I didn't want to be BS eligible.
Anybody with an AP2 figured out how to get out of the hole?

I dunno. I just know it's a good all around alignment. I noticed a major improvement over stock. It's a good idea to have the alignment checked at least... mine was pretty screwed up. Some toe in on the right rear and some toe out on the left rear equals some interesting autocrosses

The UK alignment's very mild by autocross standards -- if you want to go all-out, you should max out your front camber.

Its mainly the Pressure Plate. Drove a couple of AP2s with a stiffer pressure plate and the CDV still intact, huge difference. THe combo of heavier flywheel, softer pressure plate, and CDV give it a sloppy feel.
