also second thing to note, i'm not sure how effective the vc is by its self. perhaps the moroso oilpan baffle / endyne baffle is keeping the oil from sloshing in the crankcase there by eliminating the oil issue in the first place. i dont know. just sharing my results.

Can you post a picture of what was modified in the valve cover?

If your dipstick is popping out then what are you doing to your seals?
Capped PCV doesn't work for all cars, it didn't work for me and I was still blowing oil out through the breather.

I think the reason why some cars have issues and others don't is because of the way the baffle was sealed on the valve cover. Some baffles must have been sealed poorly so the oil is allowed to drain back down where some were sealed realy well so it collects and gets sucked into the intake.
My 06 had no issues whereas my 07 was horrible, my PCV routed like stock except I have a catch can for mist oil. I only catch at most an ounce of oil for roughly 8 or so twenty minute sessions. Originally I drilled my baffle to allow oil to drain but after thinking about it it has to be the way the baffle was sealed.
It would be nice to get a known valve cover that had issues and remove some of the sealant in key areas to try it out but I'm 99.9% sure this will work. Some people that drilled their own baffles had issues but all the ones I drilled didn't have anymore issues with blow by.

Applying a small amount of pressure to them. So far, no leaks.

Will keep this setup until I figure out something that is simple and works. I'm more concerned with keeping oil out of the intake tract IE maintaining the octane rating of fuel charge.

so lets add some confusion, i did 250 track miles, roughly 3~4+ hours of on track time and collected zero oil. (i'd hit curbs at 60+, no smoke)

spent 3~5 mins doing a drift run, flat ground, mostly all first gear at 8500+, not my favorite thing to do but, needs must. Filled my can with 5oz's of fluid *150ml. The atmospheric can is still empty.

The car lost 200ml of oil on the dipstick

grrr

why wont the f'in oil just stay in the damn motor! WTH, too much to ask!?

I did 8 ~:20 minute sessions last weekend and collected a moderate amount (didn't measure, but probably ~8oz). I have dual catch cans, one for the PCV and one for the vent. The PCV collected it all, and the vent can was dry.

I started the weekend with the dipstick showing 1-2 "X's" below full. I added about a quart over the weekend and now its just above the full mark. For a collective 2h40m on the track, I'm not really concerned about it.

So do people have a solution to this? I pretty much filled up my moroso catch can after 1 track day.. Definitely something I need to fix/address for next year.

I found a nice spot for my catch can for anyone else interested. You just need to cut the mount off the back of the stock airbox to make it fit.

actually revision 2 solved all my issues. both on track, and drifting.

the go pro was full for the track day and i didnt realize until i got there. Not my gopro so i didnt want to wipe it.

as for the curbs, at the 1.13 second mark, i usually hit the 2 curbs on to the straight away when driving the grip line, iirc i go through there at about 60mph with the car hopping/sliding from one curb to the other. I did another 250 miles at my last track day and collected about a bottle caps worth. I burned 200ml. 100 every 100 miles.

At the drift event, i did 20 laps, and collected, again a bottle caps worth.

my guy is getting everything patented.

Doesn't a patent take a long time to go through the process and be approved? Good to hear it fixed it but any chances he'll be selling them beforehand?

i'll ask him again. he has lots of patents for various car parts. Its not his first, so we shall see.

But the good news is, there is a solution in the pipes, and its getting the ish kicked outta it before it hits the market.I like where we're at with it now and I'm almost positive that with more tweaks he could even eliminate the catch cans altogether.
